Dreams Come True
at
George Washington Carver
Debbie Wehmer, an interior redesign expert visited this inner
city school and helped turn dreams and wishes into reality.
Carver Elementary located at 2854 West 45th Street in
Jacksonville was long overdue for an interior makeover. That’s
when Debbie Wehmer stepped in to volunteer her services as an
interior redesign specialist.
Her vision was to brighten up the front office, conference room
and teacher’s lounge. Each room literally took on its own
personality with the addition of plants, creative arrangement of
furniture and pictures, thus giving the space a professional’s
touch. This transformation helped create a warmer and more
welcoming environment for all who entered through the front
entrance of Carver Elementary. It was truly amazing to see how
Debbie took the existing decor of a room and rearranged the
contents transforming it into magazine showcase room.
Using a patriotic theme, she created a relaxing and inviting
place for teachers to enjoy lunch with co-workers. Parents have
commented on the “brighter look” in the front office. Faculty
and students alike are very appreciative and thank Debbie Wehmer
of
Redesign 4 You
for her time, talents and expertise. Her creative touch made the
school a more inviting place where teachers like to work and
students appreciate their surroundings.
I would
like to take a moment to say thank you to Habijax for Humanity
for inviting me to teach a decorating class to their new home
recipients. A great time was had by all and I feel blessed to be
a part of the new home recipients' journey into home ownership.

As part of the design team that decorated the Merrill House for
the holidays, I encourage you to step back in time and remember
the days of yesteryear, by touring the home located in downtown
Jacksonville.
